Rana Awais is a final-year LL.B. student at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur with a strong academic foundation and practical exposure to constitutional, criminal, and public interest law. Throughout his legal education, he has actively engaged in legal research, advocacy, and moot court competitions, which have strengthened his analytical reasoning, legal drafting, and oral advocacy skills. He has distinguished himself in moot court advocacy by securing the National Winner title at the UCP TAAKRA’25 Law Moot Court Competition and by reaching finalist positions in several other national-level moot court competitions, reflecting a strong command over legal reasoning and courtroom advocacy.
In addition to his academic pursuits, he has gained hands-on professional experience through legal internships at Dogar Law Firm, Lahore, and the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Lahore Office, where he developed practical insight into court proceedings, legal drafting, case analysis, and the functioning of public sector accountability and grievance redress mechanisms. These experiences have reinforced his understanding of both litigation practice and institutional justice systems.
Motivated by the need to bridge the gap between legal institutions and the public, he founded the Association for Development and Law (ADL) as a student-led initiative dedicated to legal awareness, youth empowerment, and social responsibility. His vision centers on using law as a tool for education, reform, and community development, particularly for individuals who lack access to legal knowledge and effective justice mechanisms.
